The show at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center’s Advocate & Gochis Galleries opened on December 20, 2012.

I am deeply moved by your documentary. What an injustice to such a talented woman. It saddens me deeply to learn how cruel people can be to one another. I can only hope that by opening her trunk for the world to see, that some good can come of it and some peace will be granted to your family. Thank you for sharing her story.

I'm mesmerized by the sheer perfection and beauty of this woman's eye for color and form. Thank you for bringing Edith back to the world by creating a soulful documentary of her life and sharing her elegant art work and remarkable life story. In spite of her tragic ending, you managed to uncover Edith's plucky spirit and took us on an incredible journey into her creative mind, love of nature and the people who surrounded her.

Dear Jane and Tess,
Thank you for sharing this exquisite, extraordinary story, and filling our lives with Edith's beauty and color. We love her art and want to see her work shown all over the country (especially Texas, where the men are men and the cows are nervous). She paid a devastating price for her lifestyle and individuality as a woman, and an artist. Thank you for your hard work, courage, and tenacity. Edith was inspirational, as are the two of you We hope to see and read more about her. Please do a book of her story and her beautiful works of art. We know she deserves the recognition that any great artist shoulld recieve. Momma Dana still signs her work "D.J. Hock" instead of Dana Jane Hock, as she has been snubbed before being a woman artist. She gave up painting for several years and you and Edith's story have inspired her to paint again. With great sincere regard, The 2 Danas

I ABSOLUTELY adored this video -- so impactful and beautiful. I love Edith's work so much and am so amazed and touched by both Jane and Tess. Everyone was brought to vibrant life in this film. With the exception of Lisa the "Medium," the film was PERFECTION. I found "the medium" to be cringingly superfluous and little insulting to the absolute glory of Edith's brilliance, and the warmth and support of Jane and Tess. I was so impressed with Jane's artwork, too. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story. I know it makes me sound like a teenage girl to a Youtube star, but I want(ed) to know you IRL. :) Also just so touched and loved the little additional clip of Jane's encouragement to rescue/resurrect. The very best to everyone involved.

Don't you just wonder if an evil lawyer like hers shouldn't be broiling in Hades forever......

What a tragic and yet moving story that deserves to be told. How wonderful that you did so in such a respectful and tenacious way! I saw the documentary and had to look up this website, just to know more. Thank you for vindicating her by bringing her story into the light. Not only to share her art and the tragedy of her life, but to bring more awareness to the subject of elder abuse. Thank you!
