More than ninety years after she last set up her easel in Provincetown, Edith Wilkinson will have her first one-woman show in that city this coming October.

With some of the most beautiful examples of her work, the exhibition will be at the Larkin Gallery on Commercial Street -- clearly a beloved place for Edith, as she did two pieces featuring the building when it was a market back in 1915. The tree is still there, its once stubby branches now filled out.  Edith would be pleased.

The exhibition runs from October 11-28, 2013

I'm mesmerized by the sheer perfection and beauty of this woman's eye for color and form. Thank you for bringing Edith back to the world by creating a soulful documentary of her life and sharing her elegant art work and remarkable life story. In spite of her tragic ending, you managed to uncover Edith's plucky spirit and took us on an incredible journey into her creative mind, love of nature and the people who surrounded her.
